Brief Character History: Ceredith was a babe when she was delivered to Akara for safe keeping. Her parents had given their lives in the attempt to take out the offending parties from an attack that had occurred when Ceredith had been swept away as ordered by one of the servants. Akara raised Ceredith as if she were her own in the hopes to help her return to her war ravaged kingdom and help her rebuild it to its former glory.
History of ShadowBane:
The Shadow Bane clan once ruled a kingdom just to the north of Ravenlock. They fell upon hard times but were too proud to call upon their friends to the south (Ravenlock). They waged war with the Baenetara clan for 5 years before they eventually lost. Ceredith’s parents sent her away soon after birth to save her from the coming doom. She is the last known survivor of the clan that reigned over the realm of Masala. The realm had been torched so badly the land was now ash. Currently there is no life there but the new rising clan of Shadow Bane will take the realm and raise it from the ashes, rebuilding it to it?s former beauty and rebuilding it to be greater than it ever was.
Masala in the beginning was a beautiful realm full of life. Lush forests plains that went on as far as the eye could see. A magickally charged realm. The clan of ShadowBane (once very large in numbers) ruled the realm. When Corenne and her husband king Malkar came to power they built the great fortress of Baenetara and the temple that lies beneath it. The order that ran the temple were named the Baenetari. Power hungry they grew until they weren’t satisfied with only ruling in the temple they began to rebel. Having been bestowed with great power by the Gods few could stand in their way.
When the rebellions began Corenne and Malkar sent Ceredith their only child to an allied kingdom, Ravenlock. Ceredith had been kept a secret because she had been born about the time the rumors of a rebellion began to spread. As a precaution the only people who knew of Ceredith’s existence were the midwives and of course her parents. Only but 3 days after Ceredith had been sent away the Baenetari had begun to destroy the realm. They destroyed anyone and anything that got in their way, those who would not join them died. Two days after they had started pillaging and burning they had finally broken the defenses of the castle. The last stand between the 5 remaining Baenetari, Corenne and Malkar was that night. The battle waged ‘til the early hours of the morning just before dawn.
2 Baenetari had survived against the King and Queen this long. They had underestimated the King and Queen’s powers. In one last final attempt to save themselves the Baenetari attempted to use the shadows against them, but to no avail. The King and Queen had proved worthy adversaries and had sealed the room in shadow. The main room of the dungeons is where they waged war against eachother. After having sealed the room in shadow the King and Queen bound the magick of the Baenetari, just before they moved in on them, and they slaughtered them, ripping them limb from limb.
Legends
It is said that the remains of the Baenetari reside still sealed inside the main room of the dungeons. It is also said that the bodies of King Malkar and Queen Corenne lay within still perfectly preserved so that their daughter could one day come and see a vision of what went on 19 years ago. They say that the room has been frozen in time since it was sealed.

ShadowBane is a clan of Chaotic Evil alignment heavily adept in magick. They cater to their own whims and the whims of the Monarch Ceredith. The clan’s first duty is to help rebuild the realm and its power. Their second duty is to abolish good and all its forms. Their primary duty above all is to protect each other from those that would wish the clan harm.
